Frequently criticized are the ease of use, robustness, and security of the Microsoft’s software. However, the plan was short-lived, as Altman was subsequently reinstated as OpenAI’s CEO and Brockman rejoined the company amid pressure from OpenAI’s employees and investors on its board. One of those fixes is another overhaul for its Windows Insider Program, the public beta system that Microsoft has used since Windows 10 to test and preview upcoming versions of the operating system and new app updates. The company is expected to show off this new Claw (or an upgraded version of one of its existing Claw-like tools) at its Microsoft Build conference in June, The Verge reports. In February, Microsoft also introduced Copilot Tasks, another agent designed to complete tasks, which was released at the time in preview. (While OpenClaw can work with multiple models, Claude remains the model of choice for many users of the open source project.) However, Cowork doesn’t run on the local hardware; it runs in the cloud. Subsequently, two employees interrupted AI executive Mustafa Suleyman at a speaking event on April 4, 2025, in protest at the company’s support of Israel.
